Health and Safety

During our our workshop, we give our guests access to very high quality perfumery ingredients that are sourced from leading fragrance and ingredients manufacturers in Switzerland and Europe. The pre-made blends, commonly called bases have been created by Vincent Micotti, following the same standards he uses for any other of his creations.

All available essential oils, perfume ingredients and bases that we propose during the workshop are diluted in concentrations that limit any potential risk of toxicity and allergy and remain within the recommended levels provided here by the IFRA, the International Fragrance Association. However, those with allergies and known sensitivities must consider that we cannot ensure each individually created perfume remains within a very low, universally accepted allergen level.

Participants of any workshops acknowledge therefore that the formula of their bespoke fragrance, resulting from a combination of individual perfumery ingredients chosen during the workshop, won’t be certified by us nor by any external independent laboratory. Therefore, participants acknowledge that it may contain a combination of ingredients that exceeds the recommended levels from the IFRA. The individual perfume is not destined to be sold or reused as such for any commercial, or charity purpose.

Customers also acknowledge that they may be in contact with fragrance molecules, isomers, oils or substances that present allergen potential. For more informations, please have a look at the list provided by the European Cosmetic directive following this link.

If you have any known allergy to fragrance ingredients, or ever experienced any rush after applying perfume on your skin, please let us know before signing up or seek independent advice from a medical doctor before you participate in a workshop.

The bases or fragrance ingredients that are provided during our workshop are considered as the individuals “ingredients” blended in your fragrance. Our blends comply to IFRA standards, however, the same points mentioned above apply to the fragrance created during this session.

All fragrances made during the workshops are Eau de Toilette. They contain alcohol and are flammable. They should not be used near fire, flame or heat and kept out of the reach of children. They should not be swallowed, sprayed in the eyes and are for external use only. We recommend as with any other perfume to make a test on a small area of your skin first before using it.
